3. Revelation 2 & 3. [Messages to the Congregations]
At the time the Revelation was written, there were more than 7 kehilot in Asia, however, these were chosen because of the meanings of their names, as well as their number, which represents “Completeness”, to symbolize all the different types of denominations and doctrines around the world, specifically in these last days in which the “Apocalypse” will be fulfilled.
There are three ways to interpret the letters to the Congregations:
| Literal | A description of the Congregations that existed at the time |
| Historic | A prophecy of the “Christian” era that will conclude at Messiah’s coming |
| Prophetic | A revelation of the doctrines of each of today’s denominations |
